Compost Delivery Weekend 9th April 2011

 

Well what a delight to have 30 tonnes of wonderfully fresh compost delivered early on Friday morning.

London Waste of Eco Park in Edmonton provided this to us in 2 loads. It is very hard to get this quantity but Chris and Eco Park was very good to us and arranged for us to be treated as a special case.

 

Moving this was going to cause us problem if the team at Lynch Plant Hire had not come to my rescue. I would like to thank Jamie who arranged this for us by persuading his directors that we were a deserving case.

Jamie and his team provided a Bobcat to load the compost and a 1 Ton dumper to move this to the individual plots.

All went without a hitch the machines arrived at 07:30 on the Friday and were right on schedule with the compost arriving at 08:00.

Peter Simpson from P Field had taken a day off from his work to assist me with this task. We worked for 13 hours solid on the Friday followed by another 6 on Saturday just to move this.
