Work Projects P Field

P Field has always been the field that required less work and improvement needs, but we decided that it needed some work and started to create a list of needs as follows:

1. Extend Car Park Area

2. Clear Main Gateways both at Summers lane & Legion Way

3. Tidy Fence Line between us & Rugby Club

So what did we manage to do in 2010?

Well as you will see we have managed to clear back and extend the car park by the Rugby club.

This was done with great help and support from O' Hara Brothers Surfacing, who supplied us with 3 60 ton loads of used road tarmac that we were able to use for hard standing to create extra parking spaces.

So on a cold Saturday Morning Peter set out with a JCB Backhoe provided by Select Plant Hire complete with an operator and began work on the car park. At the end of the Saturday he had managed to create 12 new spaces for cars to park on a hard standing. The operator from Select spread and levelled the tarmac and Peter's son Mikey rolled it level and smooth with the use of a ride on roller again generously provided by Select Plant Hire.

The car park could not have been completed with out the help from Select Plant Hire who provided the machines such as the Digger and the Roller. Their driver Phil worked so hard to complete the project within one day. We are very grateful to him.

We hope that you will enjoy the additional space and will all help to maintain the area and keep it clean and weed free over the coming months.

That still leaves us two projects to complete on P Field but I am sure we will get these started on in the early part of 2011.
