If you have ever fancied trying your hand at gardening and are interested in fresh air and even fresher food you could choose to rent a local allotment plot.
Plants are not the only things that are nurtured on allotments. Community spirit, healthy lifestyles and an appreciation of our environment are all cultivated too! Allotments are wonderful places – where people of all ages and backgrounds can get some exercise, have a natter, soak up the sun and listen to birdsong, at the same time as growing good food, which won’t have to travel far.
Taking an allotment could not be easier. It will definitely help improve your general health and fitness and is a great way to relieve stress. It can also provide you with a supply of fresh fruit and vegetables and save you money. Everyone is made very welcome so don’t be put off if you are a complete beginner - there are always experienced gardeners available to offer guidance and advice.

Improvements Continue at Glebeland North FinchleyAllotments
There has been alot of activity recently on the P field site where we have cleared three of non viable derelict plots and have now managed to let them. I hope that all of our plot holders will welcome our new tenants and will pop along to say hello when they arrive.
The main entrance to P Field has also been cut back by the council to allow better access and it now offers a welcome site to the field. The gateway at the E Field site will also be cut back in the next week or so.
The fence along the rugby field has also been cut back ready for the installion of a new fence.
A recent fire on the E Field site has prompted the council to remove the gas cycliders from the sheds. So if you have a gas cycliner on site then please remove it at the end of the day and take it home with you.
